The Promised Land
I remember the first time I visited Israel. I was amazed to see places the where the Lord walked, to see Bible prophecy being fulfilled in our lifetimes, and to see where the Lord will return to in a coming day. It's hard to describe what it feels like, standing in front of the Golden Menorah, which will be placed in a rebuilt Temple in a future day, or seeing the Mount of Olives, where so much has taken place and will yet take place. Visiting the land of Israel really brings the Bible to life. It also is evidence of the trustworthiness of the Scriptures, and the faithfulness of God. That's what caused me to write this book.
This book contains a selection of around 50 photographs that I have taken on various trips to the land of Israel, along with a short devotional thought from the Scriptures beside each one. The journey begins in Galilee, the place where the Lord began His earthly ministry, and winds up in Jerusalem at Calvary and the Mount of Olives, the place where He will return to.
It is written in such a way that you could give it to anybody - to a believer or to someone who is not yet saved. There is a gospel application on nearly every page. Each photograph has a corresponding thought taken from the Scriptures.
I hope it will speak to people in these last days, and help them realize the importance of putting their trust in the Lord Jesus Christ while there is still opportunity.
