Daybreak Over Ireland
Publisher: Biblical Books
"Hold it, young man!" shouted W. P. Nicholson, the noted Irish evangelist. "What do you mean by tinkling on the piano when I'm trying to speak?" The whole place erupted, and 600 pairs of eyes turned in the direction of Stanley Mawhinney. He can still recall that moment as if it were yesterday. As his wife Jean extended her hand to the preacher at the close of the meeting, she said to him kindly, "You were very hard on my husband tonigh!" Looking at Stanley, he said with a smile, "I'm very sorry young man. I didn't mean any harm. What's your name, by the way?" "Mawhinney." "Where are you from?" "I was born in Bangor, the same town as yourself." "Well, well," said W. P., "Sure there are more Mawhinneys in Bangor than there are fleas on a dog's back!" This is the story of one of them who just happened to be Stanley.
