James McKendrick.

For more than a quarter of a century James McKendrick travelled over the greater portion of the British Isles and also visited various parts of Australia. Some of his methods in dealing with problems were unique, but he saw a real work of God and witnessed revival. The Pioneer Series

This series consists of nine books. The first eight being reprints of early pioneers who laboured faithfully for the Lord, the last, Frank Knox was called home in 1975. The books are all interesting, informative and inspiring. Often, in adverse conditions, they worked on and souls were saved. Some of their experiences and methods were unique and so different to what would be acceptable today. Truth is often stranger than fiction. None of these books is fiction.
