As Christians we sorrow not as others who have no hope since we have assurance from the Word of God that death is but a stepping stone to a future of being with the Lord Jesus, our Saviour, and with those who have gone on before to their eternal home. Motivated by witnessing the death of several close friends, and observing the families who needed comfort from the Scriptures, the author spent many long hours of labour and study on the subject of the death of a believer, and the blessed future of those who die knowing the Lord as Saviour.

This book reminds the Christian of the many future events that will be enjoyed following the coming of the Lord for His people such as: the resurrection from the dead, the judgment seat of Christ, the marriage supper of the Lamb, the position of the bride of Christ, and reigning with Christ for eternity. This is a reminder to the believer of their hope in Christ, who is our protection and comfort.
