Pocket New Testament Commentary By: William MacDonald
It is true that the inspired Scripture is - like God its Author - measureless, in height and depth, in breadth and length. No one has ever learned all there is to know about the Bible.
William MacDonald was born in 1917 in Massachusetts. His parents were from Scotland, and they raised him in a godly home. At age 18, MacDonald was saved. He graduated from Harvard Business School with a Master's degree and and became an analyst for the First National Bank of Boston. He joined the Navy in 1942 and afterwards began to teach at Emmaus Bible College. He was president of the college for six years, totalling his time there to 18 years. During that time he started the Good News Bible Correspondence Course. He then started the Discipleship Intern Training Program and taught in the program for 21 years. In 1989, his Believer's Bible Commentary was published. By age 80, he had written 80 books. By the time of his death in 2007, he had written 84. Some of his titles include Living Above the Average and The Wonders of God.
